Privacy Policy
PawBrief is local-first, with optional cloud organization.
Last updated: May 30, 2026
Overview
PawBrief helps pet owners collect, organize, preview, and export owner-provided pet information such as symptom photos, medication photos, medical documents, emergency contacts, and care instructions.
PawBrief is not a veterinary service, does not diagnose medical conditions, does not provide triage, treatment, or emergency response, and does not replace advice from a licensed veterinarian.
Local-First Storage
PawBrief is designed to save records on your device first. Pet profiles, notes, imported files, generated previews, and owner edits remain on your device unless you choose to export, share, publish, or use a cloud feature that requires upload.
Information You Add
You may choose to add pet profile details, emergency contacts, medication notes, allergy notes, medical files, photos, videos, and care handoff details. Some records may contain sensitive information about your pet, veterinarian, household, schedule, or expenses.
Photos, Camera, Files, And PDFs
PawBrief asks for camera, photo library, and file access only when you use capture or import features. Imported records are used to generate local previews, printable summaries, PDFs, and shareable text selected by you.
Cloud AI Organization
When cloud organization is enabled and you choose to use it, PawBrief may create a smaller processing copy of a photo, document, audio clip, or other record and send that copy to PawBrief cloud services for organization. PawBrief uses cloud providers to extract text, structure owner-provided information, and suggest missing context for your review.
PawBrief does not send full-resolution original media to cloud AI by default when a compressed processing copy is available. The original evidence remains on your device unless you choose to export or share it. Cloud AI output is treated as a suggestion and may need owner confirmation before formal outputs use medication, lab, vaccine, or similar high-risk details.
Cloud organization may process record titles, notes, source labels, pet identifiers, account identifiers, task status, compressed processing copies, extracted text, and AI-generated organization results. These are used for app functionality, abuse prevention, quotas, troubleshooting, and improving reliability of the requested task. PawBrief does not use this information for advertising or tracking.
Account And Subscription
PawBrief may ask you to sign in before subscribing or restoring a purchase. This helps protect paid access and lets you recover a subscription if you change devices.
Sharing
PawBrief may help you create PDFs, text summaries, emergency cards, and care handoff outputs. You choose when to export or share those outputs. Review the information before sending it to a clinic, sitter, boarding facility, or other person.
Data Retention And Deletion
Local records remain on your device until you delete them or uninstall the app. Account deletion removes the account information PawBrief uses for subscription recovery, account ownership, and cloud features. Local records on your device may need to be deleted from the device separately.
Cloud processing records and compressed processing copies may be kept for operational needs such as task completion, retry, abuse prevention, and support. Compressed AI processing copies are configured to expire from PawBrief's processing storage after 7 days. These processing copies are not a full cloud backup of your pet records. You may contact support for privacy or deletion questions.
